This interview is amazing…one of the first interviews in the modern sanitized world of cycling that contains honesty and character.
This is full of some real gems…while he is specifically talking about training for ice climbing he makes some very valid points about the movements in Crossfit that I think are universal. I haven’t said it here, but since starting crossfit I am leaner, stronger, and more comfortable in life, climbing, and on the bike then I have been in years. We’ll see what happens when race season comes around…but to some extent I don’t care. I almost feel as if I have been living in the past for the last few years riding my bike all the time and searching for some magic bullet that would make me faster and more comfortable.
in the last 4 months i seem to have gained 9 pounds. yet i am clearly leaner then when i started. so that would be 9 pounds of muscle, i wonder if this is a good thing? when i started working out again i was hoping to lose 15 pounds.
my buddy alex and i grabbed the second ascent on a sick route in pa. mostly WI 4/5 with a sweet mixed section. why do a race bikes again?

my first caption for this was “eat a dick lance, i hope you never touch that trophy again.” but really, is contador any better?
